ABOUT MY PLANTS | Visit My Facebook Page here
When you buy a plant from me, you are supporting my dream of working with plants full time one day!
I run my own indoor grow rooms out of my house with my two cats, Mina (12) and Oliver (2)! Oliver has epilepsy and all current proceeds from the shop are going directly toward paying off his vet bills Mina and Oliver love visitors if you want to shop in person - reach out for more information!
All plants are inspected from root to stem multiple times in their life cycles from sprouting or propagation to flowering and fenestration!
Rehabs are labeled accordingly - you will know any rehabbed plant's history!
--Homemade soil mixes-- from chunky aroid mix to gritty mix for lithops - all potted plants enter your home in the proper medium for most indoor conditions - no greenhouse soggy bottoms here! My chunky soil mix is also available in the shop for $10 per gallon bag.
Rooted cuttings, corms and pups are often in water, leca, perlite, or moss - ask me for next steps for how and when to transfer to soil!
--Pest Control-- When bringing new plants into your home, quarantine for at least two weeks is recommended if you don't know the pest control regimen used! Here is mine, feel free to ask me any questions about past or future pests:
All plants are treated with beneficial insects! You will most likely never see any of them on your plants, they are applied every two weeks and they die off long before they hit maturity. Treatments protect your plants against thrips, spider mites, fungus gnats, mealy bugs, and more! I use a combination of lacewing larvae, stratiolaelaps mites, and nematodes for year-round systemic control. Sometimes you will notice some "dust" or sawdust looking substrate in your plants - you can either wipe or rinse the leaves and either mix in or scoop out any substrate in your soil if you don't care for it, the buggies have already done their job
Some plants may be treated chemically with horticultural oil and fungicide prior to sending them home with you - feel free to ask me what pest control your plants have received!
--Ongoing Support-- Quick care question? Shoot me a message, pics are super helpful!!! I will want to see the stem, leaves, and roots so be prepared to pull your plant out of the pot - I promise that's the least of your problems if your plant is sick! Bigger problems? Consider booking a 30 minute virtual consultation for $15 for the first ten clients! I can also do in-person consultations within Charles County on weekends for $50 per hour per visit to help address plant disease and decline, natural light assessment, pests, repotting, pruning, transporting, and even packing your plants!
